Product characteristics
The adsorption resin is nonpolar in polar solution (such as aqueous solution), so it can adsorb a small amount of insoluble organic compounds in the solution; most adsorption resins show weak polarity or hydrophilicity in nonpolar organic solvent, so it can adsorb some polar compounds. The development of separation and purification process of active components is based on the above characteristics of resin. Taking the extraction of cephalosporin C as an example, Amberlite XAD series products can not only absorb the target components from the fermentation broth with complex background, but also have the effect of decolorization and desalination.
